431 Mould steel plate which has high quenching, hardening and other process properties
Mold steel is used to make cold die mold, hot forging mold, die mold and other mold strains of steel. Mold is the main processing tool for manufacturing parts in the industrial sectors of machinery manufacturing, radio instrumentation, electric motors, electrical appliances and so on. The quality of the mold directly affects the quality of the pressure processing process, the precision yield of the product and the production cost, and the quality and service life of the mold are mainly affected by the mold material and heat treatment, in addition to the reasonable structural design and processing precision.

Tool steel is the steel used to make cutting tools, measuring tools, molds and wear-resistant tools. Tool steel has high hardness and can maintain high hardness and red hardness at high temperature, as well as high wear resistance and appropriate toughness. Tool steel is generally divided into carbon tool steel, alloy tool steel and high-speed tool steel.Tool steel has good wear resistance, that is, the ability to resist wear. The tool can keep its shape and size unchanged under the conditions of considerable pressure and friction.
Process parameters
High-speed tool steel is also an alloy tool steel, which contains C, Mn, Si, Cr, V, W, Mo, Co. And it can be used to make high-speed rotary cutting tools, wear-resistant, high temperature resistant, which is Cr, The ratio of V, W and Mo is relatively large. Take W12Cr4V5Co5 as an example, Cr-> 3.75% -5%, V-> 4.5% -5.25%, W-> 11.75% -13%. The ratio of Cr and V should not be low Less than 3%. The content of P and S shall not exceed 0.030%.
The processing method of alloy tool steel is mainly pressure processing steel and cutting tool steel. There are many types of alloy tool steel, including cold work, hot work, non-magnetic, plastic mold steel, etc. At the same time, the ratio of Cr and V must not be too low. Selection of tool steel for cold work die
The choice of tool steel for cold work molds is based on the main failure mechanism of the mold in practical use. It is not enough to choose tool steel to have only knowledge of steel properties. It must also consider factors such as the number of parts produced, the type of material being processed, thickness, and hardness. A basic method of selecting tool steel is to first eliminate all the failure mechanisms except for wear, and then select the tool steel with the most suitable wear resistance to meet the production requirements.
